What a beautiful day to be at Wynyard Hall. It’s Carolyn and Adam’s big day, the sun is belting down and the temperature is soaring. I begin filming at the Woodlands cottage with the boys; we have 3 hours until the ceremony so it’s fair to say that they are not all nervously darting around getting ready, in fact that couldn’t be further from the truth as they’re calming relaxing on the coach engrossed in a game of Fifa, I’ve rarely seen a more chilled out group. I grab a few shots of them before heading over to the main hall and the Lady Mae suite to see the girls. The scene here is completely different; we have one bridesmaid having her hair done by Lisa (lisajoneshairandmakeup.co.uk), one in make-up, others joyfully chatting and organising, and the Mams popping in and out from various morning activities. The atmosphere has an excited buzz and in the centre, is Carolyn, looking gorgeous in her bridal dressing gown, hair and make-up practically complete barring a few touch-ups, and happily sipping her bubbly.
The suite is amazing, it has 2 spacious rooms and a massive bathroom so there is plenty of space for the bridal party’s preparations and it’s great to be working with photographer Paul Liddement (paulliddement.com) again. The morning progresses with myself and Paul capturing all the activities, and its finally time for Carolyn to get into her dress. She is absolutely breath-taking and there is no doubt that she will knock Adam’s socks off (Having popped down to the bar to get a few more shots of the lads I can confirm that they did make it off the couch and are now looking very dapper in their suits). There are few tears from the girls, especially when Dad comes in but they all manage to keep their make-up perfect.
With the preparations complete, myself and Paul leave the girls and head to the chapel for the ceremony. From the morning’s events and the atmosphere in the chapel it is clear that it going to be a wonderful day.
